His-tag Protein Binding

biotechrabbit is holding the global license from Qiagen to manufacture and sell Tris-NTA.

Modern proteomics relies on reliable and sensitive detection and labeling of tagged protein, such as those bearing the 6xHis-tag. However, the low affinity of currently available chelators used for protein binding limits the sensitivity of many applications for selective, site-specific conjugation of proteins. To address this issue, biotechrabbit offers a superior His-tag protein ligand for the reversible binding of proteins and cell surfaces: Tris-NTA.

With a binding affinity which is approximately four orders of magnitude higher than monovalent metal ion chelators (such as nitrilotriacetic acid and iminodiacetic acid), Tris-NTA increases the sensitivity in a western hybridization, biosensor analysis, functional protein analysis, protein purification and many other applications.

Extremely high sensitivity — 10,000 times higher binding affinity than conventional chelators
Diverse application — for reversible binding of proteins, oligosaccharides, fluorophores, lipids, etc.
Minimal effects on protein function — for greater flexibility in functional assays
